Chemical Properties | bright yellow crystal(s); ortho-rhomb; very hygroscopic; very volatile >775°C [MER06] | Uses | Uranyl chloride is a greenish yellow poisonous flake that was
prepared by dissolving uranic oxide in hydrochloric acid. It is
soluble in water and alcohol. Uranyl chloride was occasionally
used as a halide for printing-out paper and added to chloride
emulsions to increase contrast. | Safety Profile | Poison by
intraperitoneal route. A radoactive material.
When heated to decomposition it emits
