Product Description
L-Dopa (Levodopa) is a prodrug of dopamine (DA), which itself has no pharmacological activity. It enters the central nervous system through the blood-brain barrier, and is transformed into DA by dopa decarboxylase to exert pharmacological effects.
Pharmacological effects: It is an anti-parkinsonian drug. It enters the brain tissue through the blood-brain barrier, and is decarboxylated by dopa decarboxylase to be converted into dopamine to play a role. For primary parkinsonism and non-pharmaceutical parkinsonia syndrome, the effect is better for moderate and mild cases.
