Description
Butyryl chloride is used as an intermediate for the synthesis of active pharmaceutical ingredients benzoyl peroxide, t-butyl perbenzoate, and benzophenone. It is also used as an acylation reagent. Further, it is used in the preparation of peroxides such as benzoyl peroxide, benzophenone and t-butyl perbenzoate.
