Vitamin B9. A B-complex vitamin necessary for the body to produce red blood cellsFolic acid acts as a vitamin (hematopoietic), a nutritional supplement and dietary requirement for poultry. It also plays an important role in the formation of S-adenosyl methionine and in the synthesis and repair of DNA and RNA. Further, it serves as an essential vitamin for erythropoiesis.
