Description
2-Succinimido-1,1,3,3-tetramethyluronium tetrafluoroborate (TSTU) acts as an efficient coupling agent through rapid activation of carboxylic acids to form N-succinimidyl active esters, which react with primary amines to form carboxamides. It is effective even in the presence of water. TSTU is selective towards amines in the presence of alcoholic group. It is employed as a coupling regent in the synthesis of peptides. With amine-protected alpha-amino acids, it brings about coupling without significant epimerization. It is useful for linking of sensor molecules with amino groups to amino-functionalized AFM (atomic force microscope) tips.Related product price
