Steps:
2.2.2 Synthesis of 2-amino 4,6-diarylpyrimidines catalysed by nanoTiO2
General procedure: Initially chalcones were synthesised by reported procedure [41]. Guanidine (1mmol) was treated with the chalcone component (1mmol) in presence of TiO2 nanoparticles (1mol%, 3.33mg) in ethanol under UV irradiation at λmax 365nm for 20min. The catalyst was then filtered off and the solution was poured into ice cold water (30ml). The crude solid product was collected by filtration and recrystallized from ethanol to afford the pure product.
