Synthesis of ligand 1
Bromoacetic acid (500 mg, 1.0 mmol) and 1-methylimidazole (325 mg, 1.10 mmol) in dry acetonitrile (10 mL) were heated at 100 °C for 6 h. The reaction mixture was cool to room temperature and filtered. A white solid product was obtained, which was washed with EtOAc to give the title compound (470 mg, 94%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, D2O)δ 9.41 (s, 1H), 7.64-7.56 (m, 2H),5.12 (s, 2H), 3.90 (s, 3H); 13C NMR (100 MHz, D2O) δ 168.6, 137.9, 124.1, 123.7, 50.1,36.4. Anal. calcd for C6H9N2O2Br:C, 51.06; H, 6.43; N, 19.85. Found: C, 51.11; H, 6.39; N, 19.89.
