Reaction Conditions:

with copper(ll) sulfate pentahydrate;hydrazine hydrate in water at 20; for 0.75 h;Solvent;

Steps:

2.4.1 General procedure A (aqueous medium)

General procedure: Azide (1 equiv.), alkyne (1.5 equiv.) and CuSO4?5H2O (0.1 equiv.) were dissolved (suspended) in water (12 mL) and then hydrazine hydrate (1 equiv.) was added dropwise. The solution turned into pale yellow in color. The product was precipitated within few minutes (see Table 1 for exact reaction time). Reaction mixture was diluted further with water and filtered. The colorless precipitate was washed with excess of water. This solid could be crystallized or passed through a small pad of celite after dissolving in an appropriate solvent to get analytically pure product.
