4.1.10 General procedure for synthesis of compounds 18b-d
General procedure: The respective alcohol (10.0mmol) was added to a mixture of PPh3 (12.0mmol), DDQ (12.0mmol), and 4-bromoanilines 18a (10.0mmol) in CH2Cl2 (30mL). The reaction was stirred at room temperature for 2h. Then, the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure and the crude product was purified by silica gel column chromatography using ethyl acetate/petroleum ether as eluent to afford 18b-d.
