3-methyl[1,2]oxazolo[4,5-d]pyridazin-4(5H)-one
To a solution of ethyl 5-formyl-3-methyl-1,2-oxazole-4-carboxylate (13 g, 71.0 mmol, Step 3) in ethanol (60 mL) chilled in an ice-bath was added hydrazine hydrate (17.7 g, 355 mmol) dropwise.
The resulting mixture was stirred for 2 hours.
The solid was collected by filtration and dried to give the titled compound (10 g, yield 93%).
1H NMR (400 MHz, methol-d4) δ ppm 8.48 (s, 1H), 2.62 (s, 3H).
