4.1.8 General procedure for Boc protection (Procedure H)
General procedure: Di-tert-butyl dicarbonate (1.2 eq) was added to a solution of the corresponding amine (1.0 eq) and DMAP (1.1 eq) in CH2Cl2 at room temperature. The mixture was stirred overnight and then concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography to obtain the desired product.
