Stage #1: diethyl [(4-cyanophenyl)methyl]phosphonatewith sodium hydride in tetrahydrofuran at 20; for 0.5 h;
Stage #2: 4-cyanobenzaldehyde in tetrahydrofuran; for 2 h;
Steps:
4 synthesis method:
Dissolve diethyl (4-cyanobenzyl)phosphonate (1.265 g, 5 mmol) in 20 mL of tetrahydrofuran, add sodium hydride (0.600 g, 25 mmol), and stir at room temperature for 30 min. Add p-cyanobenzaldehyde (0.655g, 5mmol) to the above solution, and continue to stir for 2h. The reaction was quenched with ice water, filtered with suction to obtain a crude product, and recrystallized with ethyl acetate to obtain 1.03 g of a white solid product with a yield of 89%.
