To an aqueous solution of 100 g of sodium taurate sodium succinate, saturated sodium bicarbonate solution was added and the pH was adjusted to 7-8. Subsequently, 50 mL of formaldehyde was added to the reaction system and the reaction was stirred for 4 hours at room temperature. Upon completion of the reaction, the precipitated solid product was collected by filtration and washed several times with deionized water to obtain taurine. After further purification, the target product 4,4'-methylenebis(1,2,4-thiadiazinane 1,1-dioxide) was obtained in about 70% yield and about 98% purity.

Steps:
4 Taurolidine (Formula I)
To a solution of 100 g Taurinamide succinate in water is added sat sodium bicarbonate solution and pH adjusted to 7-8.
To the solution was added formaldehyde (50 ml) and allowed to stir for 4 h.
The solid obtained was filtered and washed with water to give Taurolidine.
The title compound was obtained in about 70% yield and about 98% purity.
