To a mixture of tert-butyl 4-(4,4,5 ,5-tetramethyl- 1,3 ,2-dioxaboro lan-2- yl)isoindoline-2-carboxylate (1.2 g, 3.48 mmol) in THF (20 mL) was added NH4C1 (188 mg, 3.48 mmol) in H20 (10 mL) and H202 (20 mL) dropwise, which was stirred at 19°C lbr 16 h. After LCMS showed the reaction was complete, the reaction was quenched by aq. Na2SO3 solution and extracted with EtOAc (3 x 30 mL). The organic layer was dried over Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure to aflbrd the title compound (800 mg, 97.9%), which was used directly to the next step without further purification. ‘H NMR(CDC13, 400 MHz) ? 7.19-7.11 (m, 1 H) 6.83 -6.68 (m, 2 H) 4.78-4.63 (m, 4 H) 1.24 (s, 9H).
