| Chemical Properties | Aniline Blue is a dark brownish-purple crystalline powder. It is soluble and used as a biological stain in fluorescent microscopy, appearing yellow-green after excitation with violet light.
 | | Uses | Aniline Blue is a biological stain used for staining collagen and as a fluorescent stain for glycogen. It can also be used to stain collagen fibers in tissue sections using Masson's trichrome protocol for staining multiple components. In this method, collagen stains blue. | | Preparation | C.I.
