Synthesis of Tetrabutylammonium Perchlorate: A concentrated aqueous solution of tetrabutylammonium hydroxide is added to a saturated solution of NaClO4. The resulting mixture is stirred at room temperature for several hours. After the reaction is complete, the resulting white precipitate is filtered and washed. Finally, it is purified by recrystallization from an aqueous methanol solution.  |
