6’-Methyl paeonol is a paeonol derivative, which inihibits abnormal depolarizations and reduces the Amyloid β-induced ERK phosphorylation. 6’-Methyl paeonol exhibits alleviating activity against Alzheimer’s Disease[1].
[Preparation]

Preparation by partial methylation of 2,4-dihydroxy-6-methylacetophenone (orcacetophenone or b-orcacetophenone), with diazomethane (78%) or dimethyl sulfate.
[in vivo]

6’-Methyl paeonol (20 mg/kg, s.c.) ameliorates the impairment of memory and learning behavior in J20 mice[1].

Animal Model:APP transgenic C57BL/6 mice (J20 mice)[1]
Dosage:20 mg/kg
Administration:subcutaneous injection
Result:Reduced the time for mice reaching hidden platform.
