Cefuroxime sodium

Cefuroxime sodium is a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. The antibacterial activity against Gram-positive cocci is similar or slightly worse than the first-generation cephalosporin, but the β-lactamase produced by Staphylococcus and Gram-negative bacilli is quite stable. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus, Enterococcus and Listeria are resistant, and other positive cocci (including anaerobic bacteria) are sensitive to this product. The antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus is worse than that of cefazolin. It has strong antibacterial activity against Haemophilus influenzae, and Escherichia coli and Proteus mirabilis are sensitive to this product; Proteus mirabilis, Citrobacter and Acinetobacter have poor sensitivity to this product, Sharay Most of the genus are resistant, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Campylobacter and Bacteroides fragilis are resistant to this product.

Functions:

1. Respiratory tract infections: acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis complicated with infection, bacterial pneumonia, lung abscess and postoperative thoracic infection.
2. ENT infection: sinusitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis.
3. Urinary tract infection: acute and chronic pyelonephritis, cystitis and asymptomatic bacteriuria.
4. Skin and soft tissue infections: cellulitis, erysipelas, peritonitis, and traumatic infections.
5. Bone and joint infections: osteomyelitis and septic arthritis.
6. Obstetrics and gynecological infections: pelvic inflammatory disease.
7. Gonorrhea: especially suitable for those who should not be treated with penicillin.
8. Other infections: including sepsis and meningitis; abdominal pelvic and orthopedic surgery; heart, lung, esophagus and vascular surgery; prevention of infection during total joint replacement surgery.

Application:

1. Lower respiratory tract infection: such as acute bronchitis and acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis and pneumonia.
2. Upper respiratory tract infection: including ear, nose, throat infections, such as otitis media, sinusitis, tonsillitis and pharyngitis.
3. Genitourinary infections: such as pyelonephritis, cystitis and urethritis.
4. skin and soft tissue infections: such as furunculosis, pyoderma and impetigo. Treatment of adults and early Lyme disease in children over 12 years of age, and subsequent prevention of late Lyme disease.
5. Gonorrhea: acute without complications of Neisseria gonorrhoeae urethritis and cervicitis.
