| Description | Aceclofenac is a kind of orally administrated phenylacetic acid derivative with analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. It can alleviate various kinds of painful conditions. It can reduce the pain, disease severity and improve the functional capacity of the knee. For patients with rheumatoid arthritis, it can reduce the joint inflammation, pain intensity and the duration of morning stiffness. It exerts effects on a variety of mediators of inflammation. It can block the synthesis of the inflammatory cytokines interleukin (IL)-1β and tumor necrosis factor, and inhibits prostaglandin E2 (PGE) production. Aceclofenac is well tolerated with most adverse events being minor and reversible. |
