简介
地塞米松（Dexamethasone，简称DXMS）是一种人工合成的皮质类固醇，可用于治疗多种症状，包含风湿性疾病（英语：rheumatology），某些皮肤病、严重过敏、哮喘、慢性阻塞性肺病、义膜性喉炎、脑水肿（英语：cerebral edema），也可能与抗生素合并用于结核病患者。对于肾上腺皮质机能不全（英语：adrenocortical insufficiency）的患者须并服具有盐皮质激素的药物，例如富能锭（英语：fludrocortisone）等等。早产婴儿使用地塞米松能改善预后。本品通常一天内即开始发挥药效，药效可维持约三天左右。 长期使用地塞米松会导致念珠菌症、骨质流失、白内障、容易瘀青，或肌肉疲乏。本品的在美国的怀孕分级为C级，需评估用药成效大于副作用才能给药；在澳洲则被评为A级，表示本品常用于孕妇，且没有证据显示会对胎儿造成危害。哺乳期间不可服用此药，本品具有消炎及免疫抑制的效果。 地塞米松于1957年首次合成，并列名于世界卫生组织基本药物标准清单之中，为基础公卫体系必备药物之一。本品价格低廉，在美国一个月疗程通常花费低于 25 美元。在印度，早产疗程一次仅需 0.5 美元。地塞米松在大多数国家都能轻易取得。
