What are the risks of trans-1,3-Dichloropropene to humans?

Trans-1,3-Dichloropropene is irritating to the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. When heated to decomposition, toxic fumes are released. Symptoms of exposure may include local irritation of the skin of the eyes and respiratory tract, dermatitis, wheezing, coughing, retrosternal pain, extreme respiratory distress, lacrimation, depression of the central nervous system, and acute gastrointestinal distress with pulmonary congestion and oedema. It may also cause damage to the liver, kidneys and heart.
