2. Control Reactions for Al(OTf)3 Enhanced Grignard Reaction
General procedure: A solution of carbonyl compound in dry DCM (2 - 5 mL) and the Grignard reagent in diethylether (3.0 M, 2.0 eq.) was stirred under Ar at rt. with the reaction time the same as to achievethe completion of the corresponding Al(OTf)3-enhanced reaction. The reaction mixture was neutralized with aq. NH4Cl solution and the product extracted into EtOAc (3 x 50 mL). The organic layer was dried over Na2SO4, filtered and evaporated under reduced pressure.Purification was done via PLC
