6.1 Step 1: Synthesis of diethyl thiophene-3,4-dicarboxylate
Dissolve 3,4-thiophene dicarboxylic acid (5.0g, 29.0mmol, 1.0eq) in EtOH (50mL), add HSO(5.69g, 58.0mmol, 2.0eq), heat the oil bath to 80°C, and react 20hours.Concentrate to remove EtOH, add water to dissolve, extract with EA (50mL), wash the organic phase with saturated NaHCO3solution (40mL), dryover anhydrous sodium sulfate, filter, and concentrate the filtrate under reduced pressure to obtain the product (6.20g, yield: 93.5%).
