19.1 Step 1:
2-Chloroquinoline-4-carboxylic acid (3.0 g, 14.49 mmol) was suspended in dichloromethane (25 mL), and oxalyl chloride (3.68 g, 28.98 mmol) and N,N-dimethylformyl chloride were added at 0°C formamide (0.1 mL), and the reaction was stirred at room temperature for 2 hours.After cooling to 0°C, methanol (20 mL) was slowly added dropwise, and the reaction was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour.The reaction solution was added with water (40 mL) and extracted with dichloromethane (80 mL×2).The organic phases were combined, washed with saturated brine (30 mL), dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, and concentrated to obtain methyl 2-chloroquinoline-4-carboxylate (2.95 g, yield: 92%) as a light brown soli
