Steps:

V.B B) Aluminum isopropoxide prepared from other aluminum derivatives

B) Aluminum isopropoxide prepared from other aluminum derivatives Catalyst solution 1: Aluminum isopropoxide derived from diethylaluminum cyanide (C2H5) 2AICN) Into a 25- ml vial was added isopropanol (3 MMOL) and toluene (9 ML). The vial was sealed with a teflon-lined cap and the solution was degassed by nitrogen. To the solution, 1 mi of a 1 M solution of (C2H5) 2AICN in toluene was added under nitrogen atmosphere. Catalyst solution 2: Aluminum isopropoxide derived from diethylaluminum cyanide (C2H5) 2AICN) Similar procedure as for catalyst solution 1 followed by heating at 80C for 1 h.
