A mixture of 20 mmol of compound 1.10 and 80 mmol of LiOH-H20 in 60 mL of THF and 15 mL of H20 was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour, followed by adding 80 mL of 1. ON aq. HC1. The organic solvent was removed and the residue was diluted with 50 mL of brine. The mixture was then extracted with EtOAc, and the extract was dried with anyhydrous Na2S04.
