DIALLYLETHANOLAMINE synthesis

5synthesis methods
-

Yield:17719-79-8 49%

Reaction Conditions:

with potassium carbonate in N,N-dimethyl-formamide at 20;Inert atmosphere;

Steps:

2-(Diallylamino)ethanol (32)

A mixture of diallylamine (1.27 mL, 10.29 mmol), 2-chloroethanol (0.89 mL, 10.29 mmol), and K2CO3 (14.2 g, 103 mmol) in DMF (20 mL/g) was vigorously stirred at room temperature under N2. After completion, H2O was added and extracted with Et2O. The combined organic layers were washed with brine solution and dried over Na2SO4. After removal of the solvent under reduced pressure, the crude product was purified by column chromatography (silica gel, 1-3% CHCl3/MeOH/1% NH4OH). Yield 49% (0.71 g); MS ESI m/z = 142 (M+H+).
