To a 1000ml three-necked flask equipped with a stirrer, condenser, and thermometer, 126g of cyclopentanone, 567g of dimethyl carbonate, and 12.6g of solid base catalyst KF/Al2O3 were added, with the solid base catalyst loading being 10(w/w)%. The mixture was refluxed for 3h. After cooling, the catalyst was filtered off, the solvent was removed from the filtrate under reduced pressure, and the filtrate was distilled. 167g of the distillate was collected at 11mmHg pressure and 102℃～104℃ to obtain a colorless, transparent liquid, Methyl 2-cyclopentanonecarboxylate. |
