MAHMA NONOate is a NO donor. It spontaneously dissociates in a pH-dependent, first-order process with a half-life of 1 minute and 3 minutes at 37°C and 22-25°C, respectively, (pH 7.4) to liberate 2 moles of NO per mole of parent compound. | [Uses]

MAHMA NONOate (0.3-10 nmol/kg/min; i.v. once) shows both platelet inhibitory and vasodepressor effects in vivo[2]. | Animal Model: | Male Wistar rats anaesthetised with pentobarbitone[2] | | Dosage: | 0.3-10 nmol/kg/min | | Administration: | Intravenous injection; 0.3-10 nmol/kg/min once | | Result: | Dose-dependently decreased in mean systemic artery pressure and showd a more potent effect than GSNO. Caused dose-dependent inhibition of the response to 0.3 μM/kg ADP.
