Production method: Obtained by acetylation of para-aminophenol. Method 2: Distillation of para-aminophenol, glacial acetic acid and mother acid containing more than 50% of acid, evaporation of dilute acid at a rate of one-tenth of the total amount of distilled acid per hour, when the internal temperature rises to more than 130℃, sampling to check the residual amount of para-aminophenol is less than 2.5%, adding dilute acid (content of more than 50%), cooling crystallization. Filter, wash with a small amount of dilute acid first, and then wash with a lot of water until the filtrate is nearly colorless, and obtain rough products. The yield of method 1 is 90%, and the yield of method 2 is 90-95%. Refining method: When the water is heated to near boiling, the crude product is put into it. Heat up until fully dissolved, add activated carbon soaked in water, adjust with dilute acetic acid to pH=4.2-4.6, and boil for 10min. Press and filter the filtrate with a small amount of sodium bisulfite. Cooling to below 20℃, crystallization. Filter, wash, and dry the finished product of paracetamol.

Other production methods include: 

(1) reduction of p-nitrophenol with zinc in glacial acetic acid and acetylation to obtain p-acetaminophen; 

(2) The hydrazone generated by p-hydroxyacetophenone is placed in sulfuric acid solution, sodium nitrite is added, and acetaminophen is translocated.
