General description

The GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA, with the CAS No: 9007-83-4, is also known as MOUSE GAMMA GLOBULIN, or MOUSE GAMMA-GLOBULIN, SERUM.GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA are a class of proteins in the blood. It is the protein part of the serum, which contains many antibodies that can prevent bacterial and viral infectious diseases. GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA are used for common variable immune deficiency. The commercial source of GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA is from serum, such as the following figure 1:

Application of GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA

Albumin in serum protein α1, α2 and β Protein is mainly synthesized by hepatocytes, and GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA (mainly composed of IgG, IgA, IgM, IgD and IgE immunoglobulins) are produced in B lymphocytes and plasma cells. Chronic hepatitis (especially severe liver damage) can stimulate the mononuclear-phagocytic system and then synthesize GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA increased. Therefore, with the different stages of chronic liver disease and the progression of liver fibrosis, liver cells are constantly damaged and gradually reduced, and their normal synthesis function is disordered. Based on this, changes in serum protein composition can reflect the different stages of liver disease and the degree of fibrosis. Serum albumin is synthesized by hepatocytes, and GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA is synthesized by plasma cells. Diseases with liver function damage often led to a decrease in serum albumin, and the globulin synthesized from outside the liver, especially GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA increased. The increase of GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA and total globulin is the manifestation of the involvement of hepatic interstitial cells, so the increase of GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA and the decrease of albumin are of great value in judging the damage of liver function. Therefore, although GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA is not a protein directly synthesized by hepatocytes, but its content changes can indirectly reflect liver function.

Serum GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA can not only reflect the degree of damage to liver function, but also reflect the degree of fibrosis and inflammation of liver tissue. It has important reference value for the evaluation of the condition and prognosis of liver disease. Serum of patients before hepatectomy GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA is a better indicator of its liver reserve function GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA >30% is used as the standard to predict the poor liver function compensation after hepatectomy, and its sensitivity and specificity are 80% and 96% respectively; If preoperative serum GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA is more than 30%, hepatectomy should be performed with caution GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA suggests that there is a high possibility of liver failure after operation. Human immune globulin (IG), especially GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA, preparations for intravenous (IVIG) or subcutaneous (SCIG) administration are the mainstay of treatment in pa- tients with primary immunodeficiency diseases (PIDDs) as a replacement therapy [1]. Administration of GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA is an essential and life-saving therapy as these patients are unable to mount an effective immune response against infections.

Treatment with GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA has been FDA approved for a variety of auto- immune and inflammatory conditions, including immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), chronic inflamma- tory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), dermatomyositis (DM), and multifocal motor neuropathy (MMN) [2]. Because of its immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory effects, IG is also frequently administered off-label for a number of rare disorders and provides significant benefit in both acute and chronic conditions as a steroid-sparing agent and maintenance therapy [2].

Dosages of GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA

Dosing of GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA for replacement therapy in patients with primary immunodeficiency diseases ranges from 300 to 800 mg/kg body weight. Utilization of GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA has also been approved for several systemic autoimmune disorders owing to its immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory effects, albeit at much higher doses (1,000-2,400 mg/kg) than those used for replacement therapy in PIDDs [3, 4].

Side effect of GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA

In many instances, GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA has been life-saving; however, administration of GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA can also lead to mild, as well as severe, adverse reactions, including aseptic meningitis, thromboembolic events, hemolytic reactions, and anaphylaxis [2]. The use of GLOBULINS, CAT GAMMA has also rarely been as- sociated with serious systemic adverse reactions, including kidney failure.
