a Pyridin-2-yl-propynoic acid ethyl ester The title compound was synthesised from commercially available 3-oxo-3-pyridin-2-yl-propionic acid methyl ester using the procedure described in Example 32, step (b), in 76% yield. 1H NMR (CDCl3) δ8.66 (d, J=4.8 Hz, 1H), 7.73 (m, 1H), 7.59 (d, J=7.8 Hz, 1H), 7.36 (m, 1H), 4.31 (q, J=7.1 Hz, 2H), 1.35 (t, J=7.1 Hz, 3H).
