Tris(trimethylsilyl)phosphine is prepared by treating trimethylsilyl chloride, white phosphorus, and sodium-potassium alloy:

To the reflux condenser, thermometer 1000ml three-necked flask was added352 g (3.24 mol) of trimethylchlorosilane and 115 g (1 mol) of ammonium dihydrogen phosphate were added, and the mixture was stirred at 78 ° C for 3 hours under stirring. After the reaction was filtered, the filtrate was tris (trimethylsilyl) phosphate crude, and then vacuum distillation, collecting 125 ~ 128 / 30mmHg fraction,282 g of tris (trimethylsilyl) phosphate was obtained in a yield of 89.6%. An exhaust gas absorption device was connected to the outlet of the reflux condenser. The exhaust gas absorption device absorbed the generated hydrogen chloride gas by water.
