Sodium gluconate synthesis

5synthesis methods
The calcium gluconate is added into the reaction kettle. Add sulfuric acid aqueous solution while stirring. After mixing for one hour, let it stand for a while and then get it filtered. The filter residue is CaSO4 and gets it removed. The filtrate is added into the neutralization kettle, and a proper amount of Na2CO3 aqueous solution is added to neutralize it. Finally get sodium gluconate through concentration, filtration and drying.

Steps:

2.4 Catalytic Oxidation of Glucose into Sodium Gluconate

In a typical run, glucose (1.5 mmol, 270 mg) and Au/HAP (40 mg) was added to 10 mL of water with a magnetic stirring. Then, Na2CO3 (0.75 mmol, 80 mg) was added to the mixture and the reaction was started at room temperature by bubbling molecular oxygen (30 mL/min). After a certain reaction time, the Au/HAP catalyst was removed by centrifugation. Then the liquid solution was acidified with 0.05 M/L HCl until its pH <6. Finally, the liquid solutionwas analyzed by HPLC.
