키틴 C화학적 특성, 용도, 생산
정의
이 품목은 게, 새우 등의 갑각류 껍질 또는 오징어의 뼈를 산성수용액에서 탄산칼슘을 제거한 후 약알칼리성수용액으로 단백질을 제거한 것으로서 주성분은 N-아세틸글루코사민(N-acetyl- glucosamine) 다량체이다.
성 상 이 품목은 백~엷은 황색 또는 적색을 띠는 분말 혹은 비늘모양 고체로서 약간 특유의 냄새가 있다.
순도시험
(1) 비소 : 이 품목을 비소시험법에 따라 시험할 때, 그 양은 4.0ppm 이하이어야 한다.
(2) 납 : 이 품목 5.0g을 취하여 원자흡광광도법 또는 유도결합플라즈마발광광도법에 따라 시험할 때, 그 양은 2.0ppm 이하이어야 한다.
확인시험
이 품목 0.2g에 안트론시액 5mL 및 물 1mL를 가하여 수욕상에서 가열할 때, 액은 청~녹색을 나타낸다.
강열잔류물
이 품목을 건조물로 환산하여 강열잔류물시험법에 따라 시험할 때, 그 양은 5% 이하이어야 한다.
개요
Chitin is the most abundant natural amino polysaccharide. It has a similar annual yield as cellulose. Chitin is a kind of highly valuable material in biomedical applications because of its high biocompatibility, biodegradability and non-toxicity as well as its antimicrobial activity and low immunogenicity. It can be easily processed into gels, membrane, nanofibers, beads, nanoparticle, scaffold and sponges, enables its wide applications. In the tissue engineering, it can be used for manufacturing polymer scaffold to satisfy the demands of repairing, replacing, maintaining, or enhancing the function of a particular tissue or organ. In wound dressing, chitin can be used as antimicrobial reagent. In the field of drug delivery, the water-soluble carboxymethyl chitin (CMC) nanoparticle can be used as an effective carrier in drug delivery.화학적 성질
Chitin is a colorless, crystalline or amorphous powder that is insoluble in water, organic solvents, dilute acids, and alkalis. It dissolves in concentrated mineral acids with simultaneous degradation of the polymer. Although chitosan is insoluble in water, it does dissolve in aqueous organic acids, for example, acetic and formic acids, as well as inorganic acids. Chitin and chitosan preparation can vary due to the source, with compositional differences. Similarly, the physicochemical characteristics of chitin and chitosan differ between crustacean species and preparation methods. Several studies have clearly demonstrated the specific characteristics of these products. The Mw and degree of deacetylation (DD) vary with process conditions. The physicochemical characteristics of chitin and chitosan influence their functional properties. Mw and DD vary with process conditions or different extraction methods. Chitosan's application depends on physical, biological, and chemical properties and chitosan depends on two parameters, such as DD and Mw.용도
