13synthesis methods
Diethyl phthalate is produced by the reaction of phthalic anhydride with ethanol in the presence of sulfuric acid.

Yield:84-66-2 97%

Reaction Conditions:

with butylamine-functionalized [Cr3O(BDC-SO3H)2.4(BDC-SO3NH3-Bu)0.6]n for 5 h;Reflux;Reagent/catalyst;

Steps:

2.4. General procedure for catalytic reaction

General procedure: In a typical catalytic test, 4 mmol of phthalic anhydride and20 mmol of alcohol were loaded to a flask equipped with a condenser,and then 60 mg of MIL-101(Cr)-SO3H or [Cr3O(BDC-SO3-H)2.4(BDC-SO3NH3Bu)0.6]n (20% BuNH2) was added as thecatalyst. The reaction was refluxed for 5 h, and then the mixturewas cooled to room temperature and the catalyst was separatedfrom the reaction mass by filtration, and 100 mL of 20% aqueoussolution of sodium carbonate was added. The reaction mass wasextracted by CH2Cl2 (50 mL 2) and the organic layer dried bysodium sulfate [34]. The crude product was purified by columnchromatography using ethyl acetate/n-hexane (1:15, v:v) as aneluent, the desired compound was collected, and the yield wasobtained by the weight of the product.
